Italian cabinet adopts austerity plan: Berlusconi (AFP)

AFP - Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi announced Thursday the adoption of an austerity plan aimed at reducing the public deficit to 0.2 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2014.
